Position Summary:

In this part-time, contract role (up to 20 hours per week), you will support the Academic Partnerships Team with several initiatives aimed at strengthening the AI ecosystem in Ontario, including contributing to the Vector Digital Talent Hub, helping to coordinate the adjudication of the Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence program, and supporting Vector’s alumni engagement strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

The Vector Digital Talent Hub

  • Develop and populate standard web form templates;
  • Monitor external partner career pages for relevant job postings, and share these to the Digital Talent Hub accordingly;
  • In partnership with the Office Services Team, verify the Vector affiliation of job seekers who have created profiles within the Digital Talent Hub;
  • Implement design improvements for the Digital Talent Hub; and
  • Assist with the automation of data collection and job board scraping.

Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence Program

  • Assist in administrative tasks such as sorting Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence application submissions, collating application materials etc.; 
  • Support adjudication of applicants; and
  • Provide general administrative event support as required.

Alumni Engagement Strategy 

  • Help track graduate outcomes (e.g., career paths, continuing education) of Vector alumni through a variety of available channels such as email outreach, LinkedIn, Google Scholar, etc.; and
  • Organize and streamline alumni data across multiple platforms.


  • Other related duties as assigned.

Success Measures:

  • Contributes to the enhancement of the Vector Digital Talent Hub, including improved back end operations, and a seamless user experience;
  • Coordination of the Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence program is smooth and efficient; and
  • An alumni database is initiated, and data is collected and organized in such a way that it will generate insights on employment trends in AI in Ontario. 

Profile of the Ideal Candidate: 

The ideal candidate for the position is a student at a post-secondary institution with a strong eye for design coupled with excellent data mining and organizational skills. 

  • You have some front-end design experience, and are proficient in HTML, CSS and XML;   
  • You are comfortable working with Adobe Acrobat and Illustrator;      
  • You are highly skilled in Excel and can generate and run pivot tables, macros etc.;
  • You have strong data cleaning and mining skills, with a high attention to detail and understanding of how to turn raw data into actionable insights;
  • You are organized, efficient and a strong communicator; and
  • Familiarity with GSuite applications and Word Press would be an asset.
